I have the honour to transmit to you herewith copy of a Note verbale which I have received from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs replying to the communication which I addressed to them on receipt of your despatch No. 992 (P 5538/60/10) of the 2nd December last, regarding the control of arms through Hong Kong to China.
It will be seen that the Italian Government express their willing- ness to fall in with the suggestions of His Majesty's Embassy in this metter.
